Next Board Meeting The Board plans to hold its next meeting on Monday, March 5, 2012, starting at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the offices of ProCAM, which are located at 1423 Powhattan Street, Suite 5, Alexandria, Virginia 22314. The main entrance to the building is located on Powhatan Street near where it intersects with Slaters Lane. From the street, enter the complex through a black wrought iron security gate. ProCAM is located on the upper terrace level above the garage area. Interested homeowners are welcome and encouraged to attend all Board meetings. Street parking is readily available on Powhatan Street. Winter Board Meetings The Board held regularly scheduled meetings on November 7, 2011, December 12, 2011, and January 30, 2012, at which it conducted routine association business. If you are a homeowner and wish to see a copy of the minutes for any of these meetings, please click on the date of the meeting or visit the Board Minutes & Homeowner Documents page of this website. 2011 Annual Association Meeting The annual homeowners association meeting was held on September 22, 2011, at which nearly 50 percent of all homeowner interests were represented either in person or by proxy. The homeowners elected Patricia Barry, Randy Druckman and Anna Saez to serve on the Association's five-member board of directors, joining continuing board members Janet Sansone and David Zand. September Board Meeting Following the association's annual meeting, the Board held an organizational meeting to elect officers and conduct other business. The Board voted to appoint David Zand as President, Randy Druckman as Vice President, Anna Saez as Treasurer, and Janet Sansone as Secretary. August Budget Forum and Board Meeting On August 15, 2011, the Board held its annual budget forum where it presented the associations's proposed budget for the fiscal year starting October 1, 2011. One homeowner attended the budget forum. Thereafter, the Board held a previously announced meeting, at which it approved the proposed budget, and conducted other routine business. The approved budget does not increase homeowner fees for the fifth consecutive year, which probably explains why only one homeowner attended the budget forum. July Board Meeting At its meeting held on July 25, 2011, the Board approved a proposed budget for the fiscal year starting October 1, 2012, and authorized ProCam to mail the proposed budget to all homeowners in advance of the Board's annual budget forum. The Board also discussed the association's finances, planned and pending infrastructure projects, and several requests submitted by homeowners. June Board Meeting At its meeting held on June 20, 2011, the Board discussed the current status of its finances and all pending infrastructure projects. It also addressed several requests submitted by homeowners. After the conclusion of the meeting, board members Kathryn Cross and Brian Lam submitted their respective resignations from office. The remaining Board members immediately convened a special meeting and voted to appoint Anna Saez and Tricia Barry to the Board, the former to serve as President and the latter as a member-at-large. May Board Meeting At its meeting held on May 2, 2011, the Board reviewed the Association's finances; discussed upcoming grounds and infrastructure projects; and considered covenant waiver requests submitted by homeowners. March Board Meeting At its meeting held on March 21, 2011, the Board reviewed the Association's finances; discussed all planned, pending and recently completed grounds and infrastructure projects; and considered a number of covenant waiver requests submitted by homeowners. February Board Meeting At its meeting held on February 7, 2011, the Board reviewed the Association's draft audited financial statements for FY2010 and the auditor's report thereupon. The Board also discussed the status of several ongoing infrastructure and maintenance projects, including replacement of exhaust fans in the North Pitt Street garage, replacement of equipment in the North Royal Street garage electrical room, replacement of transformer vault doors in both garages, replacement of cracked waste pipes in the North Pitt Street garage, inspection of the fire supression pump room in the North Royal Street garage, replacement of fire extinguishers in both garages, repair and replacement of both garage ramps, and repair work related to the garage re-waterproofing project. December Board Meeting At its meeting held on December 13, 2010, the Board addressed the following matters: current finances, pending infrastructure concerns and projects, renewal of Watergate's insurance policies, renewal of a number of annual and seasonal vendor contracts, a change in collection procedures, garage maintenance and clean-up, and award of a year-end performance bonus to the Association's groundskeeper.
