| The satellite image to the right shows the layout of Watergate of Alexandria in its immediate neighborhood, with North Pitt Street to the west, Second Street to the north, and North Royal Street to the east. Across North Royal Street on the lower left of the image is a public park with lighted tennis courts, a new-for-2007 expanded children's play area, picnic areas, and a fenced-in dog run. Across North Pitt Street on the top center left of the image is the Giant Supermarket and the Holiday Inn. In the image below, the small yellow square marks the location of Watergate. The Potomac River runs along the bottom edge, the Capital Beltway (I-495) crosses the river over the old Woodrow Wilson Bridge on the left, the City of Alexandria spreads out toward the top, the Washington Sailing Marina is at the far right edge, and National Airport and Washington, D.C. (not visible) are off toward the right. Open city parks and public boat marinas are situated along the river's edge every few blocks south from Watergate to the Woodrow Wilson Bridge.
